2018 - Matthew T. Levin
The Eternal Valor Foundation is proud to award this year’s Lieutenant Shaun M. Blue Memorial Scholarship to Matthew T. Levin.
2017 - Timothy DeRolf
The Eternal Valor Foundation is proud to award this year’s Lieutenant Shaun M. Blue Memorial Scholarship to Timothy DeRolf, a young man who shows the drive and determination that Shaun had throughout his life. He says in his essay that he knew in middle school what he wanted to do and has focused on pursuing not only an undergraduate degree but to go for a master’s followed by a doctorate in his field. He has also volunteered for many organizations in our area including, Hospice of the Calumet Area, Habitat for Humanity and the Humane Society of the Calumet Area. Timothy DeRolf will be Attending Valparaiso University in the fall majoring in Meteorology. He was awarded the Board of Directors Scholarship, the EPIC Scholarship and the Dept. of Meteorology Scholarship. Timothy was also offered three scholarships from other universities.
2015 - Garrett Zuck
The 2015 Shaun Blue Scholarship was awarded to Garrett Zuck. Garrett is an active member of the Munster High School Concert and Marching band as well as the Science Olympiad. He is an active member of the Munster community, participating in Boy Scouts, recreational baseball, Peer Mentoring Program, and T-ball volunteer. Ironically, Garrett Zuck is the younger brother of our 2013 Blue Scholarship recipient, Devin Zuck. Garrett will be attending University of Michigan. Congrats Garrett!
The Scholarship was awarded by Mr. Julius Ballanco, who knew Shaun well from his time with the Eagle Scouts. The ceremony was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Blue, pictured with Garrett.
2014 - Eashan Kumar
The 2014 Shaun Blue Scholarship was awarded to Eashan Kumar. Eashan Kumar is one of Munster High School's top graduates this year. He is a brilliant scholar, a member of Student Government, DECA, Track & Field, Spanish Club, Academic Superbowl, Science Olympiad, and the Munster Theater Company. Eashan will be attending Indiana University .
The Scholarship was awarded by Mr. Julius Ballanco, who knew Shaun well from his time with the Eagle Scouts. The ceremony was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Blue, pictured with Eashan.
2013 - Devin Zuck
Devin Zuck is one of Munster High School's top graduates this year. He is a brilliant scholar, a member of Science Olympiads, a key member of the school band, and a member of the Natioal Honor Society. He is involved with the Munster community, volunteering with the Lion's Club . In addition, he is a member of Troop 533, and like Shaun, he was elected Senior Patrol Leader and recently received his Eagle Scout qualification. Devin will be attending the University of Purdue in the fall on a Presidential Scholarship. In addition to the Shaun Blue Scholarship, Devin received four other awards to include the Munster High School Senior Class Highest Scholar Honors.
